Alexandru Băluță did not feel wanted at Craiova University

After 5 years spent outside Romania, Alexandru Băluță is ready to play in the SuperLiga.

The 29-year-old footballer signed with FCSB, and on Monday he had a medical visit and was officially presented by the Romanian vice-champion.

Quoted at 700,000 euros according to Transfermarkt, Băluță remained free of contract after parting with Akademia Pușkaș, and from Romania he had offers from FCSB and Craiova University.

With 6 selections and a goal in the shirt of the national football team of Romania, Băluță spoke at the press conference about the reason why he chose to sign with FCSB, but also about the fake interest of Craiova University for the footballer who wore the captain’s armband in Bane.

“A new chapter begins for me. I am determined and ready to help FCSB on all fronts. I know it’s a big challenge for me, but it motivates me a lot. I really want us to take the coveted title and qualify for the Conference League groups.

I like to talk about real situations. Many things have been speculated in the press which are not true. It was a lack of respect towards me, towards what I did for Craiova.

No one can take away my memories and emotions. That was my decision, for my family. For me, family is above everything. That’s the most important thing right now.

I want to make things clear, there were no equal offers. There was no balance between the offer here and the one in Craiova, neither financially nor in terms of effort, especially considering that I was Craiova’s captain.

That is a very big difference between the offers. I don’t like to talk about amounts. The attitude (not those from Craiova University) was not as serious as I expected, I felt a little underestimated as a footballer and a person.

Many things were said, but I was not taken seriously by those there. They thought it would be easy.

I respect the Craiova supporters, but for me the most important thing now is to give my best at Steaua (no. FCSB), to prove that I deserve to play and give the best performance.

Yes, I no longer felt wanted in Craiova. I have always had a very good relationship with the owner of Craiova. I also wish for many things, but there is more to the facts.” – mentioned Alexandru Băluță.
